Hotel Bristol Salzburg

Great central location. Good public bus connection from main train station. Within walking distances of what I came to see (art museums) & hear (concerts). Helpful pleasant staff. Upscale hotel with a slightly older world flair. Wonderful breakfast buffet: so fresh & appetizing. Very nice bedding & towels. Good light. Lovely views from the room. Traditional family run hotel with updated facilities. Fun to explore the art on the walls in the bar, lobby & hallways.

Perfect location for exploring. As a solo traveller a single room can sometimes be very basic but a single room here was absolutely perfect. Cannot recommend it enough, room was spacious, bathroom relaxing after a day exploring, welcome basket an unexpected treat. It felt like a miniature suite for 1 💕 The buffet breakfast in the morning had so much choice and was a perfect start to the day. The bar area was also a welcoming place to sit and relax without feeling out of place being on your own.

The rooms are gorgeously decorated, and the location is outstanding -- central to everything but quiet. Excellent breakfast and lounge as well. But was what truly exceptional was the staff. They were so incredibly helpful and attentive, going out of their way to help us, plan activities, make reservations, and tend to our personal needs. Christine, Florian, Chiara, and Rosi were outstanding, and their kindness and hospitality helped make our trip a very memorable one. I would definitely stay there again, just to have such exceptional staff taking care of me.

One word: magnificent If you decide to stay on the "stage of the world" - Salzburg, then this Hotel is the adequate representive of this captivating city. Not only the marvellous location and the historical building makes Hôtel Bristol a gem in the hotellerie, but its attentive staff to a jewel that seeks its own kind. From the point you arrive until your departure you can be sure of one thing: you will be taken good care off! The welcoming "doorman", over to the competent reception staff and service personel to the thorough and courteous housekeeping.... it is indeed worthy, that this hotel is facing the residence of Johannes Chrysostomus Wolfgangus Theophilus Mozart since it is a symphony on its own! Since i have a rather good knowledge of several hotels in Salzburg i can say with confidence, that this is the best choice in regards of price / performance ratio that you will find; sure if you have "stupid money to burn", then there is a certain hotel that is located on a hill, but if you are a "budged luxurious traveller" like me, you will not find a more suitable accomodation that takes great pride also of the history than this one. When i have family / friends that are asking about a good hotel in Salzburg, then i can say with good consciousness and without any hesitation: Hôtel Bristol!
